Job Summary
Lead the team to provide safe, high quality, efficient and cost effective care to residents and their families.
Job Description
Oversee the team of registered and enrolled nurses, nursing aides, healthcare assistants, and healthcare attendants. This may include oversight of multi-disciplinary care providers such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, medical social workers, and others.
Quality and Patient Safety
Responsible for compliance with all nursing standards as stipulated by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
Lead quality assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care. Ensure quality audits are planned and conducted periodically, and follow up with areas for corrective improvements.
Promote evidence-based practices in nursing care delivery.
Ensure written policies and procedures and work processes are available and up to date to guide nursing care delivery.
Care Delivery
Ensure the smooth transition of residents from acute to chronic care and back to the community, where possible.
Direct care of the residents to ensure compliance with standards.
Staff Resource
Ensure appropriate skills mix and adequate manpower resourcing for all shifts and types of services.
Staff Development
Direct and facilitate staff development, skills, and competency upgrading through various opportunities. These may include formal education, in-house training, or approved online learning programmes.
Guide orientation/induction programmes and preceptorship for all new staff.
Support the Director of Nursing in nursing home management and deputize in her absence.
Job Requirements
Advanced Diploma / Degree in Nursing.
At least 4 years of clinical or management experience as Nurse Manager.
Nursing Home experience preferred.
Registered with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Working Days: Monday - Friday, Saturday once a month based on rostering.
