Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Nurse to join our team. As an Anesthesia Nurse, you will be responsible for assisting the Anesthetist in all stages of anesthesia administration, providing pre-induction checks and assessment, and closely monitoring patients post-induction.

You will be working in accordance with established Centre's policies and procedures, standards of nursing care, and practices. This is a challenging role that requires good clinical skills, knowledge, and critical thinking in delivering quality nursing care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Anesthetist in administering anesthesia and monitoring patients during the procedure;
  • Providing pre-induction checks and assessment to ensure patient safety;
  • Closely monitoring patients post-induction to detect any complications or adverse reactions;
  • Implementing anesthetic nursing standards and procedures to maintain quality nursing care;
  • Responding to emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner;
  • Handling and dispensing drugs, especially controlled substances, in a responsible manner;
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient care and treatment in Plato systems;

Main Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification;
  • Advanced Diploma or post-basic qualifications in Anesthesia Nursing or equivalent;
  • Singapore Nursing Board Practicing Certificate for Registered Nurses;
  • At least 2-3 years of post-registration clinical experience preferably in the OR and/or AU in a hospital or ASC setting;
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changes;
  • Computer literacy and Basic Cardiac Life Support and Automated External Defibrillator Certification;
