Job Description:
Join as a co-founder of our venture based on world-class technologies (TRL 5+) from our Research Partners, with SDTA’s pre-validation of commercial applications and market opportunities.
Founders can expect to receive technology support from lead researchers and access to business units in leading multinationals who have committed to support proof-of-concept and pilot projects with SDTA.
You and your co-founders will earn 80% ownership of the venture.
Access to investment, market access, coaching and mentorship through the Alliance’s network of investors, advisors, mentors and alumni.
Access to other resources like grants and co-working spaces to support the venture development.
The Job
About the Venture:
Digital Twin for Airport Tower Control
The Mixed Reality (MR) Digital Twin software system is a pioneering solution designed to enhance airport tower management by providing air traffic controllers with an intuitive, collaborative, and portable tool that significantly improves situational awareness and decision-making.
Compared to traditional control towers and Remote Digital Towers (RDTs), the MR system offers superior flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and safety. With a current TRL of 4, the technology is supported by a robust IP portfolio and a prototype validated through extensive testing with licensed air traffic controllers.
CEO & Co-founder Requirements:
You are an excellent big-picture thinker who is deliberate and does not get impatient dealing with details.
You are expected to excel at strategic thinking in order to identify opportunities and make business decisions that ensure long-term success and growth.
Be acquainted with sound corporate governance structures.
Conduct market research and analyse trends and data to make well-informed business decisions.
Take an active role in product development, making both high-level and minute decisions before going to market.
Successfully promote your products before they go to market, build anticipation and create demand.
Excel at recruiting, hiring and retaining talented and dedicated staff members.
Have a solid grasp of financial planning and forecasting, and be able to set milestones and budgets to ensure solvency and long-term growth.
Skills: Sales, Business Development, Fundraising, Strategy, Partnerships and Leadership.
Ideal Candidate:
Leadership experience in relevant domains: aerospace, airport operations, airport tower control or related domains.
Entrepreneurial experience with early-stage ventures.
Familiarity with navigating regulatory and grant funding pathways.
Track record in market validation, B2B customer acquisition, and scaling testing solutions.
Experience in developing a go-to-market strategy and partnerships with aerospace stakeholders.
Experience in fundraising and financial management.
Candidates who only fulfil some of these criteria will still be considered.
