The Opportunity We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our market expansion in China. This role is exclusively focused on acquiring new client partnerships and is ideal for a strategic "hunter" who excels at opening doors and building a premium client portfolio. You will be instrumental in shaping our presence and becoming a key player in the China market. Responsibilities Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new client partnerships within our core specializations (e.g., commodities, supply chain, energy, finance) to establish and grow our presence in China. Build and manage a sustained pipeline of qualified leads through strategic outreach, networking, and leveraging industry contacts to consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets. Act as the primary point of contact for new clients, conducting in-depth consultations to understand their strategic hiring needs and positioning us as a trusted, long-term talent partner. Serve as a brand ambassador at industry events and conferences, enhancing our market position as the premier search partner for specialized talent solutions in China. Lead the entire commercial engagement process, from initial proposal to contract negotiation, ensuring profitable and sustainable partnerships. Requirements Min. 5 years of experience in a pure business development or sales role, with a verifiable history of winning new clients and consistently meeting sales quotas, preferably within the recruitment industry Possess a strong and active network of client contacts within multinational or leading local companies in China, with the ability to leverage these relationships for new business opportunities Required familiarity with one or more of our core verticals—such as commodities trading, supply chain, or energy - highly advantageous for engaging in meaningful client dialogues Proactive, self-sufficient, and results-driven professional with exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and relationship nurturing skills Native in Mandarin and business-level English communication skills to build immediate credibility and trust with C-level and senior hiring managers Open to suitable candidates based in Singapore or China If you are excited about this opportunity, apply NOWDue to high volume of applications received, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
