Overview US Macro Strategist / Economist at leading Hedge Fund – Singapore Our client, a leading Asia-based Hedge Fund, is seeking a US Macro Strategist / Economist to join their Singapore office. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping macro views and investment strategies across one of the most dynamic global markets. Responsibilities Conduct in-depth research and analysis on US macroeconomic trends, with a focus on interest rates, inflation, monetary policy, and growth outlook. Provide actionable insights to portfolio managers and investment teams, supporting tactical and strategic positioning. Develop macroeconomic models and scenario analyses to forecast key market variables. Regularly publish internal macro notes and present views to senior stakeholders. Collaborate with colleagues across asset classes to integrate macro perspectives into broader investment strategies. Requirements 4–8 years of experience as a macro strategist, economist, or research analyst on the sell side or buy side. Strong expertise in US macroeconomic data , Fed policy, and related market drivers. Solid academic background in economics, finance, or a related discipline. Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex themes into clear and impactful insights. Mandarin fluency is not required but a plus; English fluency is essential. Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Singapore.
