Sourcing & Sustainability Manager BU APAC Company: BU APAC Department: BU Management Team Direct Manager: Group Director Region Asia – Pacific Location: Can be located at either Pune (India) or Singapore, depending on applicant's residence Purpose of the role, summary This position is designed to make a significant contribution towards the overall strategic sourcing objectives in BU APAC by working hand-in-hand with local Sourcing Managers and their teams to align priorities, share best practices, and collectively achieve our ambitious goals. Lead the sourcing teams of local companies and coordinate important projects. Promote Sustainability and make it a competitive edge to support BU’s ambitious growth plan. Represent BU APAC in the Global Sourcing Circle and Global Sustainability Circle. Expected Outcome Sourcing Set up BU sourcing strategy to support business growth and achieve cost saving target. Collaborate closely with local Sourcing Managers and their teams to ensure sourcing strategies are adapted and executed effectively at the local level. Facilitate cross‐regional knowledge sharing among APAC companies to accelerate supplier development and innovation. Develop supplier base in line with sales needs for product range development. Continuously develop existing suppliers and new suppliers to build a strong and solid AVL. Manage the overall supplier management processes, including spend analysis, supplier qualification, performance management, supplier audit and supplier development. Continuously improve supply chain processes and tools to support business growth. Work closely with Sales and Quality teams to provide professional service to satisfy internal and external customers’ needs & requirements. Identify and implement methods to reduce cycle times, improve supplier performance and optimize supply network. Prepare monthly reports and lead APAC sourcing meetings. Sustainability Responsible for sustainability reporting. Owner of the sustainability system and processes in the BU. Secure Bufab sustainable value offering in the BU to support customers’ decarbonisation & sustainability journey. Design and implement sustainability initiatives for sourcing and for the supplier base, including KPI’s to measure progress toward Sustainable Development Goals. Make decarbonisation a habit integrated into decision making when selecting suppliers for new items; review the current supplier portfolio and plan with local companies how to reach the SBTi commitment. Review and plan training for stakeholders, customers & suppliers. Required Qualifications & Competences Proven ability to influence without authority and build trust‐based relationships with local Sourcing Managers and cross‐functional teams. Adherence to business ethics and compliance in dealings with suppliers. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or equivalent experience and training. Experience in sourcing/category management with a track record of supplier consolidation and driving spend to preferred suppliers, contracts, and framework agreements. At least 10 years of work experience, including 7 years in a management position in a multinational company. Strong collaborative leadership and influencing skills. Commercial, strategic development, negotiation, and project management experience. Past experience managing sustainability activities is a plus, or strong willingness to explore and acquire adequate sustainability knowledge. Awareness of GRI G5, ISO 26000, ISO 45000, ISO 14001, EcoVadis, Sedex, CSRD, CBAM. Competence in material compliance regulations (REACH, RoHS, Full Material Declarations, Conflict minerals, etc.). Good command of Mandarin and English in both writing and oral is a must. KPIs Achieve cost saving target. Solid and strong AVL. Carbon reduction. Identifying green customers and providing solutions.
