Job Description As a Surgical Vet Nurse , you will play a vital role in supporting surgical specialists and ensuring the highest standards of perioperative and in-patient care. Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms with instruments, equipment, and supplies. Assist surgeons during procedures, maintaining a sterile field. Conduct pre-operative assessments, prep surgical sites, and record vital signs. Monitor anesthesia and intraoperative patient status. Provide post-operative care, including recovery monitoring and medication administration. Assist with triage, admissions, radiographs, and patient restraint. Maintain surgical records and manage surgical inventory. Participate in surgical rounds and ongoing professional development. Requirements Diploma in Veterinary Technology/Nursing (required). At least 1–2 years of veterinary nursing experience , ideally with surgical exposure. Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. Passion for patient care and learning in a specialist hospital environment.
