Job Summary:
The Physiotherapy Technician provides therapeutic care to patients. They prepare equipment, assist with exercises, and ensure a safe and effective treatment environment. They also provide administrative support and maintain patient records.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assistance:
Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
Help patients perform therapeutic exercises and activities as directed.
Monitor patients during therapy sessions to ensure safety and correct technique.
Provide support to patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from treatment areas.
Equipment Preparation and Maintenance:
Set up and prepare treatment equipment, such as ultrasound machines, TENS units and other modalities.
Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored after use.
Report any malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment progress and session notes.
Schedule patient appointments and manage the therapy calendar.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Patient Education:
Educate patients on the proper use of assistive devices.
Provide guidance on home exercises and self-care techniques as instructed by the physiotherapist.
Therapy Support:
Apply hot/cold packs, electrical stimulation, or other modalities as directed.
Assist with manual therapy techniques, such as massage or stretching, under supervision.
Monitor and record patient responses to treatment and report any concerns to the physiotherapist.
Compliance and Safety:
Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Adhere to confidentiality guidelines and maintain patient privacy.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: A diploma or certificate in Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Assistance, or chiropractic
Technical Skills: Knowledge of physiotherapy equipment and techniques.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and assist with physical tasks.
Compassion: Empathy and patience when working with patients experiencing pain or mobility challenges.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Remuneration:
Salary Range is SGD 80,000.00 - SGD 150,000.00 with commission
