Asia Creative Writing Programme – Call for Visiting Writers Join to apply for the Asia Creative Writing Programme – Call for Visiting Writers role at Nanyang Technological University Singapore . The Asia Creative Writing Programme is a collaboration between The College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CoHASS)at Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU)and the National Arts Council, Singapore . The programme aims to appoint outstanding established Visiting Writers as programme leaders, provide a strong foundation in creative writing to promising writers in Singapore, support existing literary talent with sustained development programmes, and promote intercultural understanding among writers in Singapore’s four official languages (Chinese, English, Malay, Tamil). Interest in a partial or full semester should be indicated in the application via the cover letter. The Visiting Writer Will Undertake light teaching and marking duties in NTU for one semester (three to four months). Conduct public programmes including: A series of masterclasses/workshops (15–20 hours), Individual writing consultations/mentorships (up to ten one-hour sessions), Participation in public engagement events (readings, panels, lectures). Applicants should have a publication or production history demonstrating excellence and be regarded as experts in their practice. They should be creative writing practitioners or literary translators working in at least one of Singapore’s four official languages, with a strong track record in instruction or facilitation of writer development programs. Writers working in poetry, fiction, playwriting, screenwriting, creative non-fiction, multimedia, or other literary forms are invited. Literary translators are also encouraged to apply.
