Backend Software Engineer Graduate (Data Management Suite) - 2026 Start (BS/MS)ByteDance is building a global data platform that covers the entire data pipeline lifecycle. As a graduate data engineer, you will help design, build, and optimize core products that power millions of users and internal teams worldwide. Responsibilities Design and implement a unified data development platform that improves the efficiency of global data producers, including intelligence IDE, workflow management, multiple engine integration, and more. Figure out efficient ways to manage distributed states and sync metadata between centralized place and regions globally. Design and develop a high‐performance and distributed scheduling system that manages large‐scale tasks across different business lines in ByteDance. Work closely with partner teams across the company and all over the world. Responsible for the design and development of integration with other systems in the big data area. Minimum Qualifications Final year or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Be familiar with at least one backend language, including Java, Go, Python, etc. Preferred Qualifications Strong experience in software development and data structures/algorithms. Experience with design and architecture, and testing and launching software products. Familiarity with web frameworks such as Spring Boot.
