Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance APJ Join to apply for the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance APJ role at Tech Data APAC This role is the in-house regulatory compliance expert for Asia Pacific, including United States reexport laws and regulations. You will manage regulatory compliance matters related to international trade, export/import controls, and provide operational and transactional level support. You will oversee regulatory compliance processes at satellite offices and home sites, monitor changes in governmental trade regulations, and recommend updates to corporate policy, processes, and procedures. You will work with sales, logistics, product marketing, purchasing, and other groups to ensure compliance and address export/reexport licensing activities for APJ subsidiaries. Responsibilities Manage week-to-week month-to-month activities of direct personnel, including remote staff; supervise a team of 3–8 employees/contractors and managers. Monitor performance against departmental SLAs and regulations; develop and monitor metrics; build leadership and technical skills; develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs; ensure policies and training stay current with regulatory changes. Compliance data management: determine/coordinate product classification, valuation, country of origin, and other government requirements. Ensure ERP system integrations do not negatively affect compliance. Direction/oversight of APJ export operations and US re-export license program for APJ subsidiaries, including international license/authorization management. Project management: implement a reporting program to monitor, track, and report progress on addressing compliance gaps, process improvements, and upcoming program changes. Monitor distribution center activities to optimize compliance; conduct periodic on-site reviews of distribution center activities related to international movement of products. Manage responses to formal inquiries from governmental entities; conduct audits and reviews of APJ regulatory compliance activities; identify issues and develop corrective action plans; report progress to senior management; interact with senior management on investigations and audits. Other duties as assigned; maintain attendance and punctuality; minimum business travel.
