About This Role

We are seeking a skilled and creative video storyteller to join our team. As an Assistant Editor at our Video desk, you will play a key role in producing high-quality video content that resonates with our audiences.

Your primary responsibility will be to conceptualize, write, and produce engaging visual content for various platforms, including web, app, and social media. You will work closely with journalists, videographers, video editors, and motion designers to develop compelling stories and ensure they meet the highest production standards.

You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, leading a team of producers, videographers, and video editors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve our goals.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong command of English, excellent writing and storytelling skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. You should also be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and have experience working with social media platforms and video publishing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft creative visual content for target audiences
  • Guide and grow team members to hone sharp angles and creative visual storytelling
  • Conceptualize, script, and produce videos for various platforms
  • Collaborate with journalists and cross-functional teams to develop visual stories
  • Manage and publish videos on video platforms
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest news, audience, and content trends

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Video Production, Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications, or any relevant field
  • At least five years of relevant experience
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Able to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to write and produce video packages
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Experience with social media platforms and video publishing systems
