Overview

Senior Financial Controller (10 to 15 years exp) – Leading FinTech Group. This is a high-impact leadership role with broad oversight of group financial reporting and compliance, and a key contributor to the company’s future U.S. IPO readiness. The role offers significant visibility with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of timely and accurate group consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and/or US GAAP.
  • Ensure consistency and quality of financial reporting across entities and jurisdictions, particularly in the context of a regulated lending business.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, overseeing the full-year audit cycle and related processes.
  • Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in alignment with public company standards.
  • Serve as the finance lead for IPO preparation, collaborating with legal, audit, and banking partners on S-1 filings and financial disclosures.
  • Strengthen internal financial systems and controls to meet the requirements of a listed company, including Sarbanes-Oxley readiness.
  • Support loan-level accounting, credit provisioning, and income recognition standards relevant to a balance sheet lending model.
  • Drive operational efficiencies within the finance function, including process automation and system integration (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) with deep technical expertise in IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role within a lending, consumer credit, or digital finance platform.
  • Demonstrated involvement in preparing for or executing a successful U.S. IPO.
  • Strong understanding of SEC filing requirements, SOX compliance frameworks, and internal control implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise financial systems and reporting tools.
