Production Test Engineer

Our client is seeking a Production Test Engineer to join their teamThis is an excellent opportunity to join a leading electronics manufacturing company where you'll develop and implement comprehensive test strategies to ensure product quality and reliability. What you'll be doing?Production testing: Conduct comprehensive production testing of PCBA assemblies and modules, ensuring all products meet stringent quality and performance standards. Test strategy development: Define and implement comprehensive Manufacturing Test Strategies to optimize production efficiency and product validation processes. Design for Testability: Perform thorough assessments and execute test coverage analyses to ensure comprehensive testing capabilities. Cross‐functional collaboration: Work closely with hardware and software design teams to embed effective testing solutions early in the development lifecycle. Test automation: Develop and deploy sophisticated automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and consistency. Integrated test solutions: Design and develop comprehensive solutions encompassing both hardware and software components. Advanced troubleshooting: Resolve complex tester issues using design of experiments, diagnostic tools, and failure analysis methodologies. Root cause analysis: Lead detailed failure analyses and recommend effective corrective actions to enhance product quality. Production support: Support prototype builds and mass production activities to ensure smooth manufacturing transitions. Remote team guidance: Provide expert guidance for remote manufacturing test engineers during debugging processes. Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed test procedures, documentation, and best practices. Continuous improvement: Drive initiatives in testing processes, equipment utilization, and product yield optimization. Who are they looking for?Educational background: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering to provide a solid foundation in electronic systems and testing principles. Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of experience in production test development within an electronics manufacturing environment. Technical skills: Ability to interpret complex electronic circuit schematics and bills of materials with comprehensive knowledge of electronic hardware. Manufacturing expertise: Strong expertise in Manufacturing Test Solutions including comprehensive Test Fixture Development for various product types. Hardware proficiency: Knowledge of hardware debugging techniques and proficiency with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and VNA equipment. Automation knowledge: Understanding of test automation concepts with ability to develop sophisticated test software applications and automated test scripts. Programming skills: Knowledge of test automation software including LabVIEW/TestStand, Python, and FunTEST for comprehensive test solution development. RF testing: Knowledge of RF product testing is highly advantageous for advanced testing applications and specialized product requirements. Problem‐solving: Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills for complex technical challenges and system optimization. Communication: Excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration with international teams and clear technical documentation.
