We’re looking to add a Principal Engineer, Procurement in Singapore . The position is based in our HQ at Ang Mo Kio . As a Principal Engineer, Procurement you will: Manage the procurement activities by working closely with various organisations to optimise cost, quality, inventory and delivery consistent with the lowest total cost of ownership. Responsibilities: Drives development and implementation of all supply chain procurement and procurement engineering processes and strategies for manufacturing/product development services. Responsible for meeting cost, quality and assurance of supply. This includes supplier selection and development, contract negotiation and administration, quality management, product and process / tools qualification, new product development and quotation, cost reductions activities Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company. Develops commodity strategies and business plan to support the project. Negotiate terms and conditions with Vendors Drive cost reduction activities. Managed supplier cost and allocation. Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Materials Management or related discipline Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement in the electronics industry Well-versed in the procurement of mechanical and plastic mould/ design parts as well as knowledge of the vendor base.
