Project Manager: Rail Infrastructure

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of rail infrastructure projects. This includes ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and meeting specified quality standards while maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and review project plans, designs, and specifications for rail systems, including SCADA, communication networks, signaling systems, electrical systems, and civil works.
    • Supervise installation and termination activities, conduct testing and commissioning exercises.
    • Address technical and operational challenges during project implementation.
    • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, government authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including system interface design documents, site construction drawings, technical specifications.
    • Prepare detailed reports and provide recommendations for improvements.
    • Be prepared to work flexible hours.
    • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant experience in rail engineering.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
  • Strong understanding of railway safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in LTA-MRT projects.
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
  • Proficiency in Putty, WinSCP, and Wireshark.
  • Knowledgeable in communication protocols, e.g., TCP/IP, Modbus.
