Singapore London Eye & Retina Specialist Centre Full time

We are London Eye & Retina Specialist Centre, a private eye clinic located at Novena Medical Center, providing comprehensive care for a full range of eye conditions. We are currently seeking an experienced clinical optometrist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality eye care to our patients, working closely with our specialist ophthalmologist. You will contribute to both the clinical and operational aspects of the practice, helping to ensure a seamless patient experience and the continued excellence of our services. Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews, vision and specialised eye tests, spectacle refraction, and pre-operative evaluations. Assist with Procedures: Prepare patients for minor eye surgeries and procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and well-informed. May need to assist ophthalmologist during minor surgeries and other medical procedures. Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and eye drops, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about eye health, post-operative care, and the proper use of medications and eye care products. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all ophthalmic equipment and instruments are properly sterilized, maintained, and calibrated. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all treatments, procedures, and medications administered. Handle public enquiries via phone, fax, email, doctor referrals, and walk-in patients. Coordinate and schedule appointments and surgeries for patients. Welcome and register patients upon arrival. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow. Provide general information and customer service to patients. Assist patients with medical claims and insurance documentation and applications. Perform registration and cashier duties. Assist with eye screening and diagnostic tests. Support the ophthalmologist during consultations and procedures. Perform general clinic duties such as billing, answering phone queries, and filing. Job Requirements Only Fully Registered (Full-Reg and Pre-Reg) with the Singapore Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB) need to apply. High level of integrity and professionalism. Diploma/ Degree in Optometry. Proficiency in English with either Mandarin or Malay/ Indonesian is essential to effectively communicate with Mandarin or Malay/ Indonesian-speaking patients. Greater years of relevant experience will attract a higher salary. Able to work independently and proactively. Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Passionate, Friendly, Patient, and Cheerful Disposition. Working Hours: 5.5 days work week (Saturdays mornings and some weeknight shifts are required). Work location: Novena.
