Shipowner Hiring: HSEQ Manager

A reputed shipowner is looking for a seasoned HSEQ Manager to join their Singapore team. This senior role will oversee health, safety, environment, quality, and ICT projects across their LNG and tanker fleet, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence. This is a senior role requiring both operational expertise and strong stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the Safety Management System (ISM, ISPS, MLC) across the fleet

  • Lead investigations of incidents/accidents and recommend preventive measures

  • Develop and enhance cyber security of vessel ICT systems

  • Manage and enhance the company’s smartPAL HSEQ module and ERP-related issues

  • Monitor and analyze HSEQ KPIs, fleet audits, and inspections to improve fleet performance

  • Support certification processes, quality document management, and regulatory compliance

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on ICT strategies, PMS, dry-docking, and procurement processes

  • Support the rollout of a Mobile App project for LNG and tanker operations

Requirements:

  • Master Mariner (Deck Class 1 CoC) with sailing experience on LNG/LPG (Ammonia) vessels

  • Minimum 10 years’ shore-based experience in a major ship management company or oil major

  • Strong knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MLC, TMSA, SIRE, ISO standards , and regulatory compliance

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and BI tools

  • Excellent communication, documentation, organizational, and negotiation skills

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
