Our client, a leading global investment firm, is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their Singapore office. This individual will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the firm's global technology environment, ensuring its infrastructure remains secure, resilient, and high-performing. The role offers exposure to a broad range of technologies across network, server, virtualization, and voice platforms, with the opportunity to lead strategic projects while also supporting day-to-day operations. It is well-suited to professionals who thrive in high-performance environments, are hands-on with technical problem-solving, and can operate independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain network infrastructure across the Asia region, including switches and routers. Support and administer the VMware virtualized infrastructure and enterprise storage solutions. Oversee global backup and monitoring systems , ensuring timely resolution of alerts and incidents. Maintain and support voice systems (Cisco Unified Communications) across the region. Act as a third-line escalation point for complex server and desktop issues. Lead and deliver infrastructure projects , including large-scale deployments. Contribute to business continuity planning and disaster recovery testing. Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain accuracy and compliance. Provide ad hoc support for user onboarding, desk moves, and office IT requirements. Collaborate closely with the Technology Infrastructure Manager on initiatives and be available for after-hours support when required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline. Professional certifications such as Cisco (CCNA+), VMware, or Microsoft highly desirable. 10+ years' experience in a similar infrastructure engineering role, ideally within financial services or investment management . Proven track record in managing enterprise-level infrastructure operations and delivering technical projects under tight deadlines. Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of Cisco networking and Unified Communications (Expressway, Jabber). Hands-on expertise with VMware administration and enterprise storage. Skilled in PowerShell scripting and automation. Familiarity with Nagios, Grafana, and Prometheus for monitoring. Advantageous exposure to Veeam backup, Cisco AMP, Nimble storage , or container technologies (Docker). Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving ability with a structured, analytical approach. Calm and effective under pressure, able to prioritize multiple tasks. Collaborative team player with a strong customer service orientation .
