Embark on a new journey and join the APAC Funds & CCP Risk team as a Credit Risk Analyst to initially focus on Central Clearing Counterparties, and drive the risk management support of the Hedge fund and PE portfolios. You will be responsible for looking after risk management and analysis of Central Clearing Counterparties (CCPs) across Asia. You will also implement credit risk standards and terms that are consistent with the policies and the risk appetite of the Bank. In this role, you’ll act as a service provider and partner to the Business on all risk related matters concerning CCPs in Asia.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, as well as job-specific technical skills.
Candidates should possess the following skills/experience:
More than 2 years relevant experience in an Investment Bank or Broker, with relevant capital markets product knowledge
Confident, articulate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong service orientation with ability to integrate and apply technical concepts quickly
Credit risk experience considered an advantage
Experience with Cleared products considered an advantage
MBA/CFA Charter holder is preferred but not compulsory
Purpose of the role:
To assess and approve/decline credit applications based on established credit policies, risk appetite, and regulatory requirement and analysing financial information, evaluating creditworthiness, and recommending credit terms and conditions to ensure responsible lending practices.
Accountabilities:
Analysis of lending applications, financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess the borrower's creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
Monitoring the performance of approved lending, identifying potential risks and early warning signs of delinquency.
Evaluation of the risk profile of each application considering factors like industry trends, borrower financials, collateral, and market conditions.
Provision of independent credit decisions on lending applications, adhering to established credit policies, risk parameters, and regulatory requirements.
Development and implementation of appropriate course of action for troubled lending, including workout plans, restructuring, or collections.

Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.

Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc.) to solve problems creatively and effectively.
