This is a field-based role requiring travel across the APAC region to provide installation and maintenance support, reporting to the Resource Manager for SEA.
As a Controls & Instrumentations Engineer – Field Service, your responsibilities include:
Supporting installation services independently or with a team, under guidance from the Service Manager/Installation Manager/Site Manager/Lead Engineer.
Providing control support for outages, shutdowns, maintenance, start-up, and commissioning, specifically for Baker Hughes/GE Aero derivatives Gas Turbines, Heavy Duty Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Nuovo Pignone Compressors, Pumps, and Auxiliary packages in Oil & Gas platforms.
Managing electrical and instrumentation activities related to outages, services, installation, start-up, and commissioning.
Possessing expert knowledge of Gas Turbine Control Systems and Auxiliary Systems.
Acting as the focal point for controls commissioning between the customer and Baker Hughes project team.
Handling electrical and instrumentation tasks, including commissioning of equipment with current control systems.

To succeed, you should have:
At least 3 years of relevant experience and a background in Engineering or a Technical Diploma in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience in the Energy or Oil & Gas industry.
Good knowledge of Baker Hughes/GE Aero derivatives Turbine/Compressors/Auxiliaries installation & maintenance philosophies.
Fluency in both oral and written English.
Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently and efficiently.
Awareness of health, safety, and environmental compliance and risks.

This role involves travel to customer sites across the Asia-Pacific Region, with work durations and hours aligned with customer needs. Between assignments, you will have free time according to Baker Hughes guidelines, and you will accrue annual leave to extend your time off.
