Role Overview
This is a rare
progression role
for an ambitious finance professional ready to step up into a Fund Controller position. Reporting directly to the COO, you will take on broad fund operations, reporting, and compliance responsibilities across multiple venture capital structures.
We are seeking candidates currently at a
Fund Accounting / Finance Manager or Senior Manager level
(e.g., within a VC/PE firm, asset manager, or fund administrator) who want to grow into a
lead finance role
in a lean, entrepreneurial team. This is a chance to gain
direct LP exposure, leadership responsibility, and cross-border structuring experience
while shaping the finance backbone of a scaling VC platform.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Financial Management
Support day-to-day accounting and finance across multiple VC funds and feeder structures
Assist in managing capital calls, distributions, management fees, and investor allocations
Prepare quarterly NAV calculations and LP reports, liaising with external administrators and auditors
Coordinate with tax advisors on filings and compliance
Track and update financial metrics for portfolio companies
Support valuation updates and performance reporting in line with IPEV guidelines
Contribute to exit planning, deal monitoring, and performance dashboards
Compliance & Regulatory
Support compliance across Singapore, DIFC/ADGM, Cayman, and other fund jurisdictions
Assist with fund audits, FATCA/CRS filings, and KYC/AML processes
Liaise with legal and tax advisors on structuring matters as needed
Internal Controls & Process Optimization
Help implement scalable SOPs, workflows, and finance tools
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
Support ESG data capture, fund-level sustainability, and DEI reporting (if applicable)
Team & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with the COO and external advisors on fund structuring, closings, and investor onboarding
Act as first point of contact for day-to-day LP queries on reporting and performance
Provide guidance to junior finance/ops team members where relevant
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent; CPA/CA/CFA preferred
5–8 years of experience in fund accounting or finance, ideally with exposure to private equity, venture capital, or fund administration
Solid understanding of fund structures across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., Cayman, Singapore VCC, DIFC)
Hands-on experience with NAV calculations, LP reporting, and fund operations
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Comfortable working across time zones and cultures with teams in Southeast Asia and the Middle East
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced environment
Bonus Skills
Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks
Exposure to multi-currency fund structures or FX management
