Job Opportunity: COBOL400 Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced COBOL400 development specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

This role involves developing, enhancing, and supporting COBOL/CLP applications on the AS400 platform. You will work closely with product owners, analysts, and other IT teams to deliver business solutions.

  • Develop and enhance COBOL/CLP applications on AS400.
  • Interface with product owners, analysts, and other IT teams to deliver business solutions.
  • Support production environments by troubleshooting incidents, debugging, applying fixes, and documenting changes.
  • Participate in software development lifecycle phases, including requirement gathering, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Tune and refactor existing modules to improve maintainability and performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in COBOL400 development, preferably with open-systems exposure.
  • Experience with SEU, SDA, PDM, CLP/CLLE, DB2/400, MQ, JCL, and job schedulers.
  • Familiarity with Trade Finance and Loans modules in banking.

  • Experience in managing projects and development SDLC (at least 2-4 years).
  • Experience in managing stakeholders and coordinating with other IT teams.
  • Experience leading a development team of at least 2-3 members.
