Join our team if you want to define the rules of how our civilisation communicatesSoftware Engineer The Software Engineer will develop full-stack features for Transcelestial’s satellite payloads and space systems, including APIs, management features, and user interfaces. The Software Engineer will also support the maintenance of space software and work closely with the Space Team to integrate control systems, perform integration tests, and support deployments. As a Software Engineer , you will: Develop software features and fixes for Transcelestial’s satellite payloads and space systems and associated tools across our technology stack (frontend and backend)Support the Space Team in building, testing, and deploying space systems What you will bring: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 1-2 years of relevant working experience (full-stack development)Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, especially in unfamiliar and time-sensitive situations Strong ability to devise solutions to solve problems with limited resources Strong ability to make engineering trade-offs and assess risks with respect to business objectives Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills (ability to communicate ideas and designs to your peers)Ability to thrive working with a team of people from different backgrounds in a highly collaborative, time-sensitive environment Working knowledge of Git Good knowledge of Linux (Debian)Proficient in programming in Python and C++Comfortable working with the command line Experience working with Docker Experience working with REST or gRPC APIs Experience working with ROS 2Experience working on space applications It is a bonus if you have: Experience working with electronics and hardware Our Hiring Process and what to expect: 30 min call with our technical recruitment team to get a feel for the role and to make sure your objectives and ours are aligned. 30-60 min video/in-person interview with the Hiring Manager of the role, so you can understand the role, the team, your future manager better 60 min in-person Team Fit interviews with at least 2 members of the team to get to know your future team mates.
