Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Overview Senior Site Reliability Engineer role at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Focus on operation of production environments, including systems and databases, in Singapore's governmental sovereign cloud environment. Emphasis on automation, optimization of operations, and providing escalation support for complex production problems. Leadership responsibilities include guiding junior engineers and participating in large-scale incident management. Responsibilities Development of automation and optimization focused on operational excellence. Deep dive, root cause analysis, and resolution of systemic issues. Enhance operations quality outcomes through scalable automation. Install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all production server hardware and software. Provide escalated technical support for complex issues, including leading problem management and reporting status. Coordinate escalated cases and lead internal resources and/or third-party vendors to resolution; manage storage infrastructure of Oracle system and database appliances. Maintain Oracle production environments; assist with OS and application upgrades, bug fixes, and patching; contribute to standardization projects for hardware and software in the Oracle technology stack while ensuring uptime in a cloud environment. Lead communications with key partners to solve complex technical problems. Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior members to support their career growth. Support and administration on a shift basis as part of a dedicated team. Requirements Open only to Singapore Citizens due to government project clearance requirements. Ability to work on government projects that may require security clearance and willingness to provide necessary personal details for clearance. Experience with Linux System Administration, Networking, Storage, Compute, and Virtualization. Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Chef and Puppet. Experience participating in or leading incident bridges of significant scale. Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value to customers. Experience in SRE, cloud technical support, cloud operations, NOC, or similar roles. Ability to rapidly learn new technical disciplines and train others.
