Associate Editor, Asia Chemicals and Polymers About the Role: The Associate Editor, Asia Chemicals and Polymers Markets is a reporter who takes responsibility for day-to-day reporting on chemical markets in Asia. The Chemicals pricing team, responsible for key pricing benchmarks, is a dynamic, people-first team that prizes effective collaboration and strong inter- and intra-team relationships.Responsibilities: • Publish spot price assessments for Asia chemicals markets and write high-quality market commentary.• Write real-time news relating to and impacting chemical markets to help readers understand what is happening in the marketplace, including news about supply/demand developments, government data, new developments in regulations and analysis of price trends, and other relevant topics.• Engage with market sources around the region regularly, developing and nurturing new market sources and maintaining good relationships with existing sources.Work with a Global Team: The right candidate for this role will be a curious, independent and enthusiastic team player with a keen interest in market reporting in a dynamic environment where market-moving changes occur every day. We foster a collaborative team environment that encourages working together, both with other teams in the region and globally.What we're looking for: • Bachelor's Degree required; economics, journalism, finance, or business-related fields preferred.• 1-3 years of experience in price reporting, journalism, analytics or within the commodity industry preferred.• Drive to develop knowledge of chemicals. Understanding of market fundamentals is necessary to develop subject matter expertise.• Accuracy under time pressure.
