As a key member of our organization, this role plays a vital part in ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

This involves developing, monitoring, and enhancing internal control systems to identify and mitigate risks, improve process efficiency, and maintain a strong governance framework across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of governance frameworks, internal control standards, and regulatory requirements. They will possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Internal Controls : Develop and implement effective internal controls to prevent and detect noncompliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Continuously Assess and Improve : Regularly assess the effectiveness of existing controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Review and Update Policies and Procedures : Periodically review and update policies, procedures, and documentation to reflect current business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation : Identify operational and compliance risks through regular review of procedures, reports, and workflows, and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Evaluate New Business Activities : Evaluate new business activities, projects, or changes for potential compliance risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Propose Corrective Actions : Propose corrective actions to address control weaknesses and nonconformities.
  • Collaborate with Departments : Work closely with Legal, HR, and other departments to ensure consistent enforcement of internal policies and external regulations.
  • Provide Guidance and Training : Provide guidance, training, and advisory support to departments on internal controls and compliance standards.
  • Support Internal Audits : Assist in internal audits and investigations by preparing documentation and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor Audit Recommendations : Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and ensure timely closure of findings.
  • Prepare Compliance Reports : Prepare compliance reports and dashboards for management and external regulators where applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree : Bachelor's degree and above in Business Administration, Risk Management, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 Years Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, internal control, or risk management roles.
  • Strong Analytical and Communication Skills : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to Work Independently : Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Detail-Oriented and Proactive : Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and addressing compliance risks.
