Overview Cloud Engineer (SRE – Level 2) Why we need youOperating secure, compliant, and highly available cloud environments is critical for our client. We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer (SRE – Level 2) to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our AWS cloud platform. You’ll be hands-on in managing infrastructure, automating deployments, maintaining patching and SSL lifecycles, and mentoring junior engineers—all while supporting critical production workloads. Responsibilities Operate and maintain AWS-native services (Lambda, ECS, EKS) in production. Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible. Oversee OS lifecycle and patch management for RHEL and Windows Server environments. Manage SSL certificate renewals, EOL components, and integrations with third-party tools and observability stacks. Create and maintain runbooks, system documentation, and change logs, adhering to government security and compliance protocols. Qualifications 10+ years’ experience in DevOps/SRE roles, with at least 5 years in regulated or public sector cloud environments. Strong proficiency in AWS services, cloud architecture, and uptime-critical operations. Expertise in Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, RHEL, Windows Server, and patch management. Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, RHCE, or Windows Server.
