Roles & Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Lead and oversee fire safety management for data center facilities in Singapore, ensuring compliance with the Fire Safety Act and SCDF Fire Code.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Fire Emergency Plan, including conducting required fire drills and exercises in accordance with SCDF requirements.
  • Manage and respond to fire safety incidents, coordinating with internal teams, emergency services, and SCDF officers to ensure effective resolution and minimal operational disruption.
  • Conduct regular inspections of fire protection systems (e.g., sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers, emergency exits), identify deficiencies, and ensure timely rectification.
  • Ensure fire protection systems and equipment comply with relevant Singapore Standards (SS) (e.g., SS 578 for sprinklers, SS 645 for extinguishers).
  • Train, guide, and supervise the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) and other stakeholders to ensure preparedness and a strong safety culture.
  • Prepare documentation, reports, and records for SCDF inspections, audits, and compliance checks.

Requirements

  • Must be a certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) registered with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in fire safety management or building facilities management.
  • Good knowledge of the SCDF Fire Code, Fire Safety Act, and Singapore Standards relating to fire protection systems.
  • Proven experience in emergency response planning and incident handling.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Language: English (mandatory); Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for stakeholder communication.

  • Ensure 100% compliance with SCDF Fire Code and Fire Safety Act requirements.
  • Successfully conduct all required fire drills, inspections, and audits with no major non-compliances.
  • Maintain a safe and stable operating environment, with zero major fire incidents.
