Job Summary

An excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate to join a leading banking institution as a Bonds & Trade Analyst on a 12-month contract. This role offers exposure to the end-to-end (E2E) trade lifecycle for fixed income products such as bonds and repos, supporting daily trade validation, settlements, and operational processes.

Mandatory Skill-set

  • Degree in Finance, Banking, Business, or related field;
  • Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to work with numbers and transactional data;
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, reporting);
  • Good communication and coordination skills to liaise with different teams and stakeholders;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Desired Skill-set

  • Prior working experience, internship or academic exposure in financial products (bonds, repos, fixed income) is advantageous;
  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle, settlements, or financial operations preferred;
  • Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Murex, Front Arena, or other trade booking/settlement platforms) is a plus;
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end processing support for fixed income products, including bonds and repos;
  • Perform trade validation against source documents to ensure accuracy;
  • Execute pre-settlement confirmations with counterparties;
  • Monitor, track, and ensure smooth completion and settlement of daily bond/repo operations;
  • Liaise with internal teams such as local branches, corporate banking, operations, and external parties (counterparties, common depository) to resolve settlement or fixing matters;
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or exceptions in a timely manner;
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, banking regulations, and statutory requirements.
