Vice President, Regional Product Manager for APAC – Glow Beauty on Demand Purpose of role: Responsible for setting the strategic direction of Transaction Banking products and leading the development, management and delivery of market‑competitive Transaction Banking products in the Asia Pacific region in collaboration with various stakeholders, as well as providing a robust and extensive advisory service to branches and global Head Office. The role includes managing product risks, governance and financials such as profitability and investment budgets. Responsibilities Define the product strategy for growth, risk management, and profitability of assigned cash management products, focusing on Payments, Collections, and Channel/Digital products for the APAC region. Lead and manage cash management product development projects, including system development or enhancement projects, on a regional basis. Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements, and formulate strategies to enhance product offerings and market presence. Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, operations, systems, and compliance teams to ensure cohesive strategy execution, including partnership with the Transaction Banking Division in Japan and other regional units. Drive innovation by integrating digital solutions into transaction banking products, including developing digital channels and enhancing product features. Ensure all products comply with regulatory standards and internal risk management policies; work with the Risk Management & Compliance Team to identify and mitigate potential risks. Monitor product performance and report key metrics to stakeholders, using insights to refine strategies and improve product offerings. Provide regular updates to leadership on project statuses and outcomes, and continually assess and improve the project governance model. Manage the system investment budget process for the region, secure necessary funding, negotiate cost reductions, and monitor expenses to ensure budgets are properly utilized. Drive behavioural change, data governance disciplines, and business outcomes through insights and capability enhancements. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement; provide training and development opportunities for staff on product‑related topics. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, engaging with senior stakeholders to communicate priorities and project outcomes. Conduct complex multi‑market analysis and build financial models to assess and recommend country profiles and risks related to new product launches. Maintain and update product processes and workflows, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. Act as a subject‑matter expert on transaction banking product development, establish relevant disciplines, develop product manuals, and support the team with technical issues. Investigate product incidents in the region and support development of solutions to ensure seamless service to customers. Requirements Degree holder with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in financial services or banking industries. Minimum 8 years of product management experience within Transaction Banking Services in cash management. Experience leading and overseeing diverse product development projects. Strategic mindset with experience interacting with multiple stakeholders including Sales/Coverage, Systems, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Risk Management, Product, Treasury, and senior stakeholders. Highly responsible, capable of self‑managing tasks and addressing issues with senior colleague support when needed. Proven track record of delivering positive outcomes in ambiguous environments. Experience establishing frameworks, processes, and procedures for large organizations. Collaborative mindset, growth focus, strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent presentation skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences. Proficient in data analysis, business process mapping, and mathematical problem‑solving. Experience working in a multinational environment, understanding diversity and cultural differences. Strong leadership and persuasive communication abilities. Open‑minded and innovative approach to process optimization and decision making.
