We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (L2) with strong expertise in PostgreSQL and Sybase technologies to support, maintain, and optimize database environments. This role involves advanced performance tuning, high availability setup, incident resolution, and close collaboration with development and infrastructure teams. Mandatory Skill-set Must have 6 - 8 years of hands‐on experience as a PostgreSQL and/or Sybase DBA; Proficient in PostgreSQL setup, HA/DR, performance tuning, and backup/recovery; Must have strong experience with Sybase ASE/IQ installations, tuning, and replication; Skilled in SQL tuning, index optimization, and database monitoring using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and pg_stat_statements; Scripting knowledge with Shell, Python, TSQL; Solid understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise production support; Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and time‐management skills. Desired Skill-set PostgreSQL and/or Sybase DBA certifications; Experience working in financial institutions or large‐scale critical environments; Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps collaboration. Responsibilities Provide L2-level support for PostgreSQL and Sybase environments across Asia and Europe; Own and manage incident, problem, and change management processes; Perform health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning; Architect and maintain HA/DR setups and disaster recovery strategies; Automate routine DBA tasks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives; Act as an escalation point for complex database issues; Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams; Maintain up‐to‐date documentation and knowledge base; Participate in global infrastructure activities like DR drills and maintenance windows; Enforce compliance with operational standards, policies, and security protocols; Provide on‐call support based on shift schedule.
