The Treasury Technology Team at BAM develops and supports tools for Treasury and Financing, managing cash positions to optimize costs. We seek an experienced developer to support this mission. Role Overview: Design and develop front office applications with Financial Analysts Create systems to enhance alpha generation, leverage borrow markets, and optimize the firm's balance sheet Collaborate in a fast-paced environment to understand and deliver on business requirements Manage full lifecycle development: requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment Utilize diverse data sources to produce metrics informing Portfolio Finance decisions Balance feasibility, stability, scalability, and time-to-market in solutions Core Tech Stack: Python-based financing tools Docker containerization SQL, MongoDB, Redis Linux and Windows OS Qualifications & Requirements: 3+ years of backend development experience focusing on Python Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field Experience designing and building backend applications from scratch Proficiency in code optimization and performance tuning Strong knowledge of MSSQL, including query building, table design, and tuning Understanding of application development scope: authentication, APIs, build process, testing, validation, state management Experience with source control (preferably Git)Proactive learning and initiative-taking attitude Analytical troubleshooting skills Clear documentation skills Additional Plus: Experience building RESTful APIs Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases Experience with equity financing systems Familiarity with financial market data sources like Bloomberg or Reuters Experience in hedge fund industry or related financial software Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Full-time Job Function Information Technology This job posting is active.
