Roles & Responsibilities Requirements: · RAD Certificate in Dance Teaching (CDT) or equivalent teaching qualification. Minimally completed RAD Intermediate · Strong foundation in Classical Ballet (RAD syllabus knowledge preferred). · Versatility in other dance genres such as Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, or Hip Hop is a strong advantage. · Experience teaching younger children (ages 3–10) preferred. · Experience in choreography for performances and competitions. · Background in competition work— both as a dancer and choreographer — is an advantage. · Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans across different dance styles. · Patient, encouraging, and passionate about nurturing young dancers. · Good communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues. · Willingness to support the school’s exams, performances, workshops, and events. Responsibilities: · Teach Ballet as the primary focus, while also leading/supporting classes in other genres (e.g. Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop). · Prepare students for RAD and CSTD examinations and guide them through the process confidently. · Develop creative and engaging choreography for school showcases, concerts, and competition teams. · Support competition dancers with training, coaching, and performance preparation. · Create a positive, supportive, and disciplined classroom environment. · Collaborate with colleagues to uphold the school’s philosophy of excellence and holistic development. · Assist with school events, workshops, and community outreach when needed.
