Job Summary Assist in the development and oversight of global Energy & Facilities strategy with regional responsibility for executing and ensuring FM resources are effectively managed to meet business and customer requirements. Regional Manager is responsible for providing Energy management expertise and leadership in the region and overseeing energy management initiatives to drive efficiency, reduce energy usage and cost of energy spend, improve regional Energy & Facilities Management scoring and ensure sites have appropriate Energy & Facilities Management Compliance. Oversee Project Management coordination for major Energy Efficiency related to Facilities and Building projects. Responsibilities Establish a regional stewardship/risk mitigation strategy for energy management including compliance to standards. Drive improvement in factories through usage reduction and/or cost control/reduction. Provide each site with effective & efficient property management space solutions. Create, manage and implement regional specific programs and systems that support global Sustainability strategy. Develop, implement and maintain energy policies, procedures, inspections, reporting and technical writing, proliferate policy and metrics in region. Periodic evaluation and guidance to plant level personnel on Energy Management initiatives and Global Energy scoring improvements. Identify and implement cost reduction ideas yielding quantitative results and evidence of realization of cost reduction or risk mitigation. Coordinate with internal and external customers on all issues related to the company’s impact related to energy & Facilities. Determine best practices sources and methods of core Energy & Facilities management disciplines and proliferate in region. Perform technical research and develop solutions to engineering problems, stay current with regulatory and technical developments in sustainability profession. Serve as subject matter technical resource to all levels of the organization and service organization. Responsible for energy technology road map that improves facilities efficiency. Responsible for regional budget variance and cost management. Adhere to safety and health rules and regulations and company security policy. May perform other duties as assigned (assist Sustainability Director with various projects). Qualifications Facility Energy Management & legislation subject matter expert. Demonstrate continual improvement in Facilities Management / Energy management practices. Good communication skills at all levels. Due diligence – M&A – project type activities. Project Management experience (construction / building services knowledge) and positive attitude, ability to affect change at all levels, flexibility; work and travel approx. 50%. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and e-mail. Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Energy & Sustainability, Facilities / Engineering management). Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience and proven track record in facilities management, energy, sustainability or similar roles. Or equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
