AVP, Dev Ops Engineer, Core Banking Technology, Group TechnologyBusiness Function
Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities
Development of integration/ automation components for Dev Ops productivity tools and environments.
Design and develop solutions for data analytics and reporting.
Be an innovative and hands-on Dev Ops capable of looking at both the technology and strategy around the platform.
Support design and development of process automation for Dev Ops activities.
Support documentation of standard processes and best practices.
Continuous Experimentation of Continuous Delivery and Testing processes and practices.
Hands-on coding, unit testing and automated functional testing.
Involved in web development, REST API development and smart metering information development.
Ability to conduct research into software issues and products as required.
Ability to work with the latest tools and techniques.
Working in highly collaborative teams and building quality environments.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast paced, global environment.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field that involves programming, or combination of equivalent practical experience and education.
Minimum 5 - 10 years working experience in relevant role/s.
Significant experience with Java 11/17, Spring Boot Framework, Maven, Kafka, Web Sockets, g RPC, Gradle, Node JS and Java Script, CSS, React JS, Angular / Vue, Python.
Experience in utilising open-source technologies and related configurations.
Knowledge of REST and SOAP protocols.
Experience working with Dev Ops tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonar Qube).
Experience in at least one of the databases such as Maria DB/My SQL / Oracle / SQL Server / Redis / Mongo DB / Hive.
Good to have an experience on BPMN frameworks like Camunda/Activiti.
Good to have an experience on JIRA administration and groovy scripting.
Experience in ELK stack (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) and Grafana.
Good to have an experience in Java design patterns, Micro services, and event driven architectures.
Good to have an experience on test automation like JUnit's, Cucumber, Selenium, TDD etc.
Good to be able to perform data analysis to develop dashboards and metrics.
Possess good problem-solving skills and can adapt to changes in business requirements.
Effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast paced, global environment.
Strong organisational skills to manage assignments effectively and work within tight deadlines.
Strong communications skills to collaborate with developers, QA, project managers and other stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile teams using JIRA tool.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Willing to learn new skills, existing and emerging technologies.
