What you will be working on: Define new opportunities for Home Team impact through identifying meaningful insights from exploratory data analysis. Design and conduct data science experiments to test hypotheses and validate model results, ensuring rigorous methodology and reproducibility. Conduct data pre-processing for feature engineering, build machine learning model pipelines and improve model performance. Implement workflows for monitoring model drift and retraining. Interacts with product teams to identify questions, opportunities and challenges for product impact. What we are looking for: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in STEM disciplines. Applicants with system architecture design and product deployment experience will be considered for more senior positions. Strong understanding in one or more of the following areas: Language AI – Spoken Multilingual Speech-to-Text / Text-to-Speech / Speech-to-Speech Speech deep-fake detection Language AI – Written Multimodal Document understanding and retrieval / RAG systems Edge Computing Simulation Digital Twin Modelling and Simulation tools Optimisation Mathematical programming Constraint programming Link Analysis Network/Graph analysis Predictive modelling All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
