Job Opportunity: Experienced Veterinary Nurse/Senior Nurse

Our organization seeks a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Nurse/Senior Nurse to join our veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a veterinary setting and relevant qualifications in veterinary technology/nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and facilitate the admission process for new patients, ensuring seamless transitions and efficient care delivery.
  • Provide critical support during anesthesia monitoring and emergency situations, working closely with veterinarians to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Assist in the care and treatment of hospitalized patients, including those in the ICU, and oversee critical patients in the ward and ICU, utilizing strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Perform radiographic imaging, restraining patients as necessary for exams and treatments, while maintaining exceptional standards of animal handling and welfare.
  • Prepare and discharge patients for surgeries, including postoperative bandaging and recovery, ensuring accurate documentation and thorough handovers.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing empathetic and professional service, while addressing their concerns and queries.
  • Participate in inpatient rounds, engage in self-directed learning activities, such as attending continuing education lectures and reviewing relevant literature, to maintain currency and enhance practice.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in veterinary technology/nursing or relevant qualifications.
  • Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting is preferred, but not essential for the right candidate.
