Snr/Engineer, HIG-HBM Product Engineering (Media Health Reliability Coding) role at Micron Technology

As the key talent within the High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Product Engineering Media Health team, you will engage in both intrinsic and extrinsic reliability test program coding for Micron’s latest HBM products. You will develop new reliability test flows (e.g., extended wafer level burn in, pWLRx, ELFR, etc.), for DRAM and Interface die and a stacked product for extrinsic DPM (Time0 and Field DPM) and intrinsic reliability assessment to meet critical KPI’s in Quality, Cost and Cycle Time. You will collaborate across functions within and outside of HBM to meet strategic and tactical objectives while continually maximizing the effectiveness of the HIG HBM PE organization.

Responsibilities

• Reliability Test Program Coding: Writing and debugging test programs for HBM device and package qualification, coordinating with other teams to ensure full test coverage and that all aspects of the product are thoroughly tested and issues are identified and addressed.
• Root Cause Understanding and Resolution of reliability test program related issues.
• Promotion of Innovation and Challenge to the Status Quo: Promote innovation and drive for changes (e.g., new reliability features, code infrastructure optimization) to provide Micron with a technical advantage.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Fab, HBM Technology Development, HBM Design, System Development, and Quality/Reliability teams.
• Data Analysis for Validation: Use in-house statistical tools for engineering data analysis for validation and risk assessment.
• Hardware Specifications and Validation: Define interface hardware specifications and validate/debug new interface boards to ensure compatibility and performance across environments.
• Technical Decision Making: Make final decisions on risk analysis and project prioritization.
• Mentorship and Development of Others: Actively develop and mentor colleagues.
• Project Management: Develop project management skills within the team for timely delivery of solutions.
• Process Improvement: Identify system and process improvements and promote cost reduction and quality improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of coding/programming languages such as Python/C++.
• Proven experience in reliability engineering or a related role.
• Strong technical skills with problem solving, root cause understanding, and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of CMOS technology and DRAM device physics and design.
• Good multi-tasking skills and ability to set priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Knowledge of statistics and data analysis tools and scripting.
• Familiar with testing verification approaches.
• Effective written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to implement and adhere to testing protocols.
• Proven track record of collaborative work within/across teams.
• Work on site in Singapore with international travel to the US, Taiwan and Japan.
