Job Description:

  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop strategic tax solutions and provide comprehensive tax compliance and advisory services to clients across various industries.
  • Oversee and manage tax controversies, including responding to inquiries from tax authorities and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee proper execution of tax assignment, including planning, execution, and review of tax engagements
  • Participate in and lead domestic and international tax consulting projects, ensuring successful implementation and resolution of all tax-related matters.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and training to junior tax professionals to enhance their technical expertise and professional growth.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and in developing new business opportunities
  • Leading and delivering thought leadership and marketing collaterals and drive business development initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on complex projects including mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, corporate restructuring, initial public offerings (IPOs), tax due diligence, tax rulings, tax incentives, and tax risk management.
  • Develop and deliver tax-efficient solutions tailored to clients' specific business needs, leveraging a deep understanding of their industries.
  • Identify and pursue tax planning and advisory opportunities across key sectors, including Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare, Industrial Manufacturing, and Consumer & Retail.
  • Involves providing sophisticated tax planning, estate planning, and wealth transfer solutions while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and international tax laws.
  • Offer assistance and lead coordination for regional and global projects across diverse industries.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in the Audit and Advisory practices to create a unified marketing strategy and showcase our expertise in different industries
  • Implement tax accounting policies in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable standards.
  • Support the firm in ad-hoc projects and other tax-related initiatives as required by senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Business, or a related field; ACCA qualification preferred
  • About 12 years or more experience in corporate and individual tax advisory and compliance. A mix of in-house and practice experiences would be a bonus.
  • Willingness to progress to partnership
  • Accreditation with Singapore Certified Tax Professional (SCTP)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and analytical skills, with a track record of successfully leading teams and delivering results.
