Roles & Responsibilities The Director will oversee and expand the company’s international metal recycling operations. This role requires strong leadership, market knowledge, and the ability to establish and manage collection networks across multiple countries. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and Chinese (both written and spoken) to effectively communicate and negotiate with partners, suppliers, and buyers in China—the company’s largest market. Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Operations Develop, manage, and expand metal recycling collection networks across Asia and other regions. Identify and secure reliable sources of recyclable metals through partnerships and supplier agreements. Oversee logistics, shipping, and export documentation to ensure smooth delivery to buyers. Market Development & Client Relations Build and maintain strong relationships with Chinese buyers, smelters, and trading companies. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve optimal profitability. Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and trends in the metal recycling industry. Strategic Management Develop business strategies to increase volume and efficiency in recycling operations. Manage budgets, forecasts, and performance targets. Ensure compliance with international environmental regulations and trade policies. Leadership & Team Management Lead and guide regional teams in sourcing, quality control, and logistics. Foster collaboration between local collection partners and head office. Promote sustainability and operational excellence throughout the organization. Requirements: At least 8–10 years of experience in metal recycling, trading, or international logistics. Strong understanding of metal markets, recycling processes, and export/import procedures. Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin). Proven ability to manage cross-border operations and multicultural teams. Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel frequently across regions. Preferred Attributes: Established network of suppliers and buyers in the recycling or metal trading industry. Knowledge of international shipping regulations and environmental compliance standards.
