Support backend semiconductor innovation with test engineering excellence Micron is hiring a Test Equipment Support Engineer in the MSB Test Engineering team at its Singapore backend manufacturing facility. This role blends engineering, data, automation, and team leadership—ideal for engineers with experience in mechatronics, electronics, or backend semiconductor processes. The role involves supporting test operations in Micron's backend manufacturing by enhancing equipment availability, implementing automation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role combines hands-on engineering with data analysis and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Improve equipment uptime using FMEA and root cause analysis Implement cost-effective spare inventory strategies Automate data gathering and improve tester performance Drive utilization and yield enhancement projects Lead shift technician teams and support test floor operations Set up, qualify, and validate new test systems Troubleshoot hardware/software failures in real-time Coordinate new product test runs and support deployments Lead productivity-enhancing software solutions Review test plans for time reduction and optimization Execute cross-team improvement projects with measurable impact Develop failure analysis and certification materials Conduct staff training sessions and mentor junior team members Required Qualifications Bachelors/Masters in Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or related Hands-on experience in backend test equipment or predictive maintenance Programming skills in Python, C++, Tableau are highly valued Skilled in root cause analysis, process control, and improvement Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Test engineers at Micron are the last gatekeepers of quality before memory devices reach customers. By driving automation, efficiency, and innovation in backend testing, this role ensures product reliability and contributes to breakthroughs in AI, mobile, and cloud systems.
