Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and management in a fast-paced medical setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist doctors in preparing patients' case notes for daily outpatient visits
  • Conduct physical clinical examinations with doctors
  • Counsel patients on financial fees and related surgical and treatment procedures
  • Perform clinical nursing care procedures such as wound dressing and post-surgical care advice
  • Dispense medication to patients and bill accordingly when needed

Surgery Management:

  • Prepare and conduct checks on surgical items, medical equipment, and instruments before a surgical procedure
  • Administrate and prepare patients for surgical procedures, including pre-surgical briefings and vital sign checks
  • Provide assistance to doctors during minor clinical surgeries and procedures
  • Monitor patients' conditions and progress during recovery
  • Ensure all sharps and bio-hazards are properly disposed of
  • Prepare and pack surgical items and instruments for sterilization and disinfection
  • Conduct routine stock checks and expiry validations/replenish surgical, medical, and other supplies
  • Perform other nursing duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Valid Singapore Nursing Board Practicing License
  • Minimum 2-3 years nursing experience in medical specialist/clinic settings
  • Possession of a valid OT/AU certificate or hospital testimonial is an advantage
  • Experience working in an operating theater/anesthesia unit is considered an advantage
  • Service-oriented and enjoys interaction with people
  • Mandarin speaker preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients
