Roles & Responsibilities About Metta Home for the Disabled and Metta Home Day Activity Centre Metta Home and Day Activity Centre (慈光乐陶苑及智障日间活动中心) provide care and training for adults with intellectual disabilities, helping them lead meaningful and independent lives in a supportive environment. As a Kitchen Assistant , the candidate is responsible in the following areas: Assist in simple food preparation such as frying bee hoon or making desserts like red bean soup. Wash and prepare kitchen utensils and equipment. Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly. Assist in unloading, storing, and organizing food supplies. Ensure cleanliness and proper disinfection of kitchen utensils and dining ware. Prepare and clear up before and after meals and tea breaks. Sort and distribute meals (soft diet, normal, diabetic) as required. Pack and organize kitchen stores and donated items. Assist supervisor during delivery or receipt of donation items. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Job Requirements Relevant kitchen experience is an advantage. Minimum Primary School education. Able to converse in simple English. Willing to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Responsible, hardworking, and a good team player.
