Assistant Restaurant Manager (French Bistro)You will play a key role in supporting the management team in maintaining high service standards, managing the bar area, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist the Manager in leading and motivating a team of service staff and bartenders to deliver exceptional guest experience Support daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, reservation management, guest relations and achieving operational excellence Ensure that service standards are consistently maintained to exceed guest expectations. Assist in managing the bar and utilize your knowledge of wine, spirits and cocktail preparation techniques and maintain beverage quality Train and mentor staff in service techniques, product knowledge, and bar operations. Collaborate with the management team to implement and uphold restaurant policies and procedures regarding health, safety, and sanitation standards Assist in coordinating between the kitchen and front-of-house operations to ensure seamless service delivery Handle guest inquiries, concerns and complaints with professionalism and efficiency, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction Engage in skill development plans and undertake ad-hoc tasks that contribute to the restaurant's ongoing success Requirements Diploma/WSQ Certificate in Food & Beverage service or equivalent Minimum 3 years in a full-service restaurant with a similar role, restaurant operations and able to perform the roles of all service positions Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences.
