Radiographer (Cardiovascular Suite)

Our client is seeking a Radiographer to join the Cardiovascular Suite team, delivering high-quality imaging support and assisting with interventional cardiovascular procedures, while ensuring compliance with radiology safety protocols to safeguard both patients and staff. Key Responsibilities Carry out all diagnostic imaging services in compliance with established standards. Verify patient identity before examinations, ensuring adherence to radiation safety protocols and obtaining the necessary procedural consents. Confirm that image recordings and printed copies meet optimal quality standards prior to releasing them to doctors and patients. Ensure the correct examination code is accurately entered into the system in line with the requested procedure. Clearly explain the procedure and expected duration to patients before the examination. Safeguard patients safety and support their physical and emotional well-being during and after the examination. Take appropriate precautions to protect patients, staff, and the public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation. Fulfill on-call and after-hours responsibilities when required, responding promptly in accordance with hospital standards. Conduct daily quality assurance checks on equipment as per manufacturer guidelines to maintain optimal performance. Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Principal Radiographer or Nursing Management. Requirements Bachelors degree in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from a recognized institution. Radiographer with full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC). At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer in a diagnostic imaging facility. Prior experience in angiography and related fields is an advantage. Candidates with experience managing modality areas may be considered for a senior role.
