Position Summary
The IT Security Engineer will assist the Head of Systems/IT Security in implementing security measures. They may oversee security design relevant to their expertise, provide guidance on security solutions for tender proposals, and support bid managers in addressing cybersecurity concerns. As an agile information security expert, they will participate in critical project security work packages and:
Act as the security partner for agile project teams, addressing all information security questions
Contribute to information security strategy and process improvements
Ensure solutions consider the latest security requirements and standards
Formalize and implement security requirements into solution components
Participate in solution integration and verification against security requirements
Responsibilities
Support IT Security work packages in bids and projects
Provide security consultancy to internal teams
Perform security risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures
Act as the technical security contact for customers
Implement security solutions like firewalls, SIEM, 2FA, etc.
Conduct security audits to identify gaps
Support daily security operations such as firewall management and incident handling
Requirements
The candidate should have:
A degree in IT or Computer Science
At least 5 years of experience in IT Security
Experience in at least two domains: Application, Network, System, Data, or Cloud Security
Technical Skills
Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, AV, IAM, or PIM
Knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, mobile tech, or virtualization
Ability to write shell scripts or Python/Perl scripts
Experience with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
Familiarity with standards like ISO 27001, NIST, Common Criteria, IEC 62443
Preferred Certifications
Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
CREST Practitioner Security Analyst (CPSA)
