The Role As a Senior Application Security Engineer in Singapore, you will work closely with developers and DevOps teams to continuously improve our applications' security posture. Your day‐to‐day may include pentesting, writing and implementing security projects, and ensuring compliance with stringent standards such as PCI‐DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001. Your Impact Scope and conduct penetration tests on our applications and collaborate with developers to propose and implement fixes. Propose and implement projects (SAST/DAST, phishing exercises, etc.) that improve overall security. Research, analyze, and assess risks of new technologies and tools from a security perspective. Automate security tasks and processes to support scaling. Identify security requirement gaps, propose solutions, and implement them. Investigate and analyze occasional security logs and take necessary actions. Provide technical security advice to employees on topics such as phishing, design concerns, etc. Stay up‐to‐date with security trends and share relevant insights. Create security awareness training materials for both technical and non‐technical staff. Maintain a deep, independent, and committed approach to security challenges. Requirements Experience scoping and conducting penetration tests on web applications. Experience reviewing source code for microservices‐based applications. Knowledge of web application and API security vulnerabilities and exploitation. Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, JavaScript, etc.). Knowledge of Linux, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and SDLC. Familiarity with PCI‐DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001. Technical security certifications (e.g., CREST, OSCP, OSWE) are a plus. Strong communication skills and independence in collaboration. Preferred Skills Deep knowledge of cloud and container vulnerabilities. Experience exploiting web applications built on Ruby frameworks. Bug‐bounty findings and CVEs under your name.
