Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance network solutions for transportation systems. This entails developing secure, reliable, and efficient network architectures that integrate with various subsystems, including CCTV, Passenger Information Systems, Public Announcement systems, and Master Clock synchronization.

This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including system integrators, software developers, and hardware vendors, to define and implement optimal solutions. The successful candidate will have expertise in architecting complex solutions, including hardware and software integration, with a focus on networking and understanding of other subsystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the architecture of network solutions that meet security, performance, and redundancy requirements.
  • Evaluate design alternatives to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define system and subsystem requirements and architecture.
  • Provide technical guidance and approval for system architecture.
  • Oversee the documentation of designs to meet project requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications such as AWS Certification, CISCO Certification (CCNP, CCIE), or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior network engineering or architecture role.
  • Strong experience in IT infrastructure design, large-scale networking, virtualization, and containerization.
  • In-depth understanding of software architectures, including N-Tier Architecture, SOA, and microservices.
  • Experience working with transportation communication systems such as SCADA, Public Announcement Systems, Passenger Information Systems, and Tetra Radio.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, redundancy, and failover strategies in mission-critical systems.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and handling multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and technical teams.
