Work Schedule Work Schedule: 5-day week Working Hours: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm Job Summary A precision engineering company, in seeking a Quality Engineer to drive product excellence and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. The role oversees inspection activities, documentation control, and quality reporting while supporting continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Perform and oversee dimensional inspections using precision hand tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and advanced metrology equipment, including CMMs and laser trackers. Conduct and coordinate in-process, first article, and final product inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and AS9100 standards. Review and approve inspection reports, maintain traceability, and ensure proper documentation of quality records. Identify, document, and track non-conformances; support root cause investigations and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions. Monitor calibration activities and ensure all inspection and measuring equipment complies. Participate in and support internal and external audits (e.g., AS9100, customer, supplier) and ensure readiness of documentation and processes. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements. Maintain quality documentation and records in compliance with the QMS. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes and reduce defects. Provide cross-functional support and participate in cross-training initiatives to enhance operational agility across departments such as Engineering, Production, and Procurement. Requirements Education Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent discipline. Experience and Skills 3-5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance or precision manufacturing, ideally within a high-mix, low-volume environment. Proficient in inspection techniques, use of CMMs, laser trackers, and other metrology tools. Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 standards and QMS requirements. Competent in interpreting technical drawings and applying GD&T principles. Effective in quality documentation, reporting, and communication across teams. Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for product quality. Demonstrated ability to solve problems methodically, collaborate across functions, and support continuous improvement.
